Sponsor An Orphan

Today there are millions of orphans around the world, they are amongst the most vulnerable in society because they do not have the same opportunities as other children. They are often forced into child labour to survive and are deprived of a normal childhood. The orphans are usually deprived of food, clothing, sufficient healthcare and a good education. The greatest tragedy of all is their lack of education.

Given the opportunity to go to school, these orphans could develop the practical skills which would enable their communities to break out of the cycle of poverty.

Islam teaches us to help the needy, especially the orphans. MuslimVille had launched ‘Sponsor an Orphan’ campaign in the year 2006 as part of ‘MuslimVille Ramadan Competition’ which now helps orphans from Canada, Indonesia, Kashmir, Palestine, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Kenya.

This is a program by the children for the children to encourage caring for others. Throughout the year children raise money for the needy and the poor. Their efforts are used to provide food, shelter, healthcare, education and emotional support to orphans.

MuslimVille works in partnership with IRFAN and ICNA Relief. Participant of this program can send greeting cards, special gifts & letters to our sponsored orphans.

Participants will also receive reports of the program. This program is a symbol of a loving bond between Canadian Muslim Children with orphan children in less fortunate parts of the world.
